Snowy, the playful white puppy, darts around the garden, his breath puffing in little clouds. He chases after a snowflake, his nose twitching with excitement. The world is still, except for the crunch of his paws and the twinkle of his eyes. Suddenly, he spots a shadow moving near the hedge.
Spotty, the shy newcomer, hesitates as Snowy approaches. The two puppies study each other, tails wagging uncertainly. "Hi there! I’m Snowy. Want to play?" Spotty lowers her head, sniffing at the snow between them, and replies in a quiet voice, "I’ve never played in snow before..."
Snowy circles Spotty, inviting her to join the game. After a moment, Spotty bounds after him, her paws sinking and stumbling in the snow, but a delighted bark escapes her lips. "See? It’s fun! You just have to jump right in," encourages Snowy. Their playful barks echo across the garden, and the snow is soon crisscrossed with their tracks.
"I didn’t think I could make a friend so fast," Spotty says, panting happily. Snowy wags his tail, his eyes shining. "You’re not just my friend—you’re my best friend," he declares, and Spotty’s tail thumps enthusiastically on the frozen ground.
They discover a hollow log dusted with frost and crawl inside, giggling at their own reflections in a puddle of ice. "Let’s explore everywhere together!" Spotty exclaims, her earlier fears forgotten. Together, they nose through the sparkling landscape, their footprints weaving side by side like a ribbon.
Snowy rests his head against Spotty’s back, and she lets out a soft, happy sigh. "No matter how cold it gets, we’ll always have each other," whispers Snowy. As the stars begin to twinkle above, the two friends drift into dreams, safe and warm in their newfound friendship.
