Eli, a seven-year-old boy with curly hair and wide, thoughtful eyes, sits cross-legged on his bed. He grins at the audience, holding a notebook covered in doodles of tiny creatures. His room feels safe, a perfect place for starting an adventure. "Hi! My name is Eli, and today, I'm going on an adventure—the most important one ever. Want to come with me? We're not exploring jungles or outer space. We're exploring something even cooler—my feelings! I call them 'sparks' because that's what they feel like inside me: little bursts of color and energy,"
One spark is a gentle, blue kitten purring softly—Calm Spark. Another is a bouncy, yellow rabbit—Happy Spark. A droopy, gray puppy—Sad Spark, and a red, spiky hedgehog—Mad Spark. A green mouse with big, worried eyes—Worry Spark—peeks out from behind a pillow. "These are my sparks! They live inside me and show up when I feel something. Sometimes, just one comes out, like when I'm reading a funny story and Happy Spark bounces everywhere. Other times, a whole bunch come out all at once, and things get a little wild. But guess what? All my sparks are okay—no matter what they feel like,"
Eli feels his heart thump. Mad Spark bristles, Worry Spark hides, and Sad Spark droops onto the desk. Calm Spark is barely a whisper. "Sometimes, when too many sparks show up, it can feel like a storm inside me. That's when it’s hardest to know what’s going on. But I learned something super important: if I can stop, think, and name my sparks, I can help them calm down,"
Eli reaches into the toolbox and pulls out a card labeled “Name Your Sparks.” The sparks gather around, watching closely a. "This is my Skill Box! Inside, I keep all the skills I learn to help with my sparks. The first one is called 'Name Your Sparks.' When I feel all mixed up, I pause, take a breath, and ask myself: 'Which sparks are here? Am I mad, sad, worried, or something else?' When I name them, they get smaller and quieter, and that helps me find Calm Spark again,"
"Calm Spark is always there, even when I can’t see him. I just have to remember to use my skills to help him grow. It’s okay to have all the other sparks—every feeling is important and belongs inside me. But I’m the one in charge of my sparks, and with practice, I’ll get better and better at being their guide,"
"Thanks for coming on this adventure with me! There are so many more sparks to meet and skills to collect. I hope you’ll join me next time—because everyone has sparks inside, and we can all learn to be their guide,"
