Jacob Shae stirred awake, his black hair tousled against the pillow. As he blinked his green eyes open, he noticed something peculiar. His room, usually filled with the soft hum of cars passing by, was replaced by the distant roar of waves and the cawing of seagulls. The air carried a salty tang, and as he sat up, he realized he was no longer in his familiar orange pajamas. Instead, he wore a rough tunic and leather pants. Jacob's heart raced as he stumbled to a mirror, only to see the face of Hiccup from "How to Train Your Dragon" staring back at him. "What in the world?" he gasped.
Hiccup, now with the miwandered through the village, his eyes wide with wonder and trepidation. Dragons of all shapes and sizes flew overhead, their scales shimmering in the morning light. The bustling market square was vibrant, with stalls of fresh fish and tools, and villagers greeted him with familiarity. "I must be dreaming," Jacob muttered in Hiccup's voice, feeling a mix of excitement and fear.
Hiccup blinked at the unfamiliar ceiling above him, the bed beneath him softer than anything he'd ever known. He sat up, his hands brushing against the smooth fabric of Jacob's orange clothes. The room was filled with strange devices—screens glowing with moving images and a small box emitting music. "Where am I?" he whispered, bewildered by the modern world around him.
With shaky hands, Jacob climbed onto the back of Toothless, feeling the dragon's powerful muscles tense beneath him. The villagers watched with amused curiosity as he attempted to mimic Hiccup's easy grace. Toothless took off, the ground dropping away as they soared into the sky. The wind whipped through Jacob's hair, and despite his initial terror, a smile spread across his face. "This is incredible!" he shouted, exhilarated by the flight.
Hiccup, dressed in Jacob's modern clothes, wandered through the hallways, his eyes wide with awe at the fluorescent lights and bustling students. Lockers lined the walls, and the air buzzed with chatter and laughter. He peeked into a classroom, intrigued by the teacher explaining math on a whiteboard. "This world is full of wonders," he thought, marveling at the differences from his own time.
In Berk, Jacob sat by a flickering fire, clutching a mysterious stone that seemed to pulse with energy. Back in the modern world, Hiccup held a similar stone, feeling its warmth in his hand. At the same moment, they both closed their eyes and focused, a strange connection forming across time and space. Suddenly, a rush of wind and light enveloped them, and when they opened their eyes, they were back in their own bodies. "That was the adventure of a lifetime," Jacob whispered, grateful but relieved to be home, while Hiccup, back in Berk, smiled at the memory of a world filled with extraordinary wonders.
