Tommy, a small white rabbit with quivering brown-spotted fur, hops with excitement, ready to explore beyond his familiar meadow. His mother’s voice echoes a warning, cautioning him about the squirrels’ territory by the tall oaks.
Tommy bounds forward, his ears perked with curiosity. Suddenly, an acorn thunks against his head, and he looks up to see three squirrels peering down at him.
"Oops! Sorry, little guy!" one of them chuckles, and Tommy realizes they are not as frightening as he imagined. "You’re… not scary at all!" he blurts out, feeling relieved.
Zizy somersaults to the ground, offering to show Tommy her berry stash. Ronnie climbs down methodically, his satchel rattling with acorns, and inquires if Tommy is lost. Stephanie notices his trembling and offers a calming mint-heal leaf.
The squirrels explain the value of teamwork, each bringing unique strengths to their group. "We’re brave, fun, smart, and kind," Zizy declares, tossing a berry into the air.
"A rabbit and squirrels working together? The forest hasn’t seen this in 100 years!" he hoots. Encouraged by his new friends and their supportive words, Tommy decides to attempt climbing the oak, taking his first wobbly step up with Ronnie guiding, Zizy cheering, and Stephanie spotting below. His heart races with both fear and exhilaration, but for the first time, he feels truly brave, knowing he is not alone.
