Dino, a small dinosaur with a long neck and skin patterned in bright yellow, orange, and green, stood at the base of the towering trees. His eyes, filled with wonder, gazed up at the canopy, where the sun’s rays barely filtered through. "One day, I will see beyond these trees," he whispered to himself.
Dino's heart was set on reaching the high hills that surrounded his forest home. From there, he imagined, the world would open up, revealing secrets beyond his wildest dreams. However, his father’s words echoed in his mind, warning him to wait until he was older. [@ch_1_d]"Distances are longer with short steps,"[@/ch_1_d] his father had said.
Undeterred by his father’s caution, Dino approached his friend, an older dinosaur with a much longer stride. "Will you help me reach the hills?" he asked hopefully. His friend, however, was not as focused. His Friend, distracted by others, promised to catch up later, "You go ahead, I'll join you soon."
Dino took a deep breath and began his journey alone. He carefully navigated the slippery rocks of the river crossing, his determination as steady as the flow of water beneath him. Each step was a challenge, but with each step, he grew more confident.
Exhausted but resolute, Dino pushed onward, his small steps leaving a trail of perseverance. He climbed higher, the air growing cooler and the view more expansive. As he reached the summit, the forest stretched out below him like a vast, green sea.
Dino stood in awe, the beauty of the sunset filling him with a sense of accomplishment. His journey had been long and arduous, yet the view was worth every step. "The path is longer with small steps, but the path reaches the end with determined steps," he mused, a smile spreading across his face. The forest below seemed smaller now, yet more majestic, as he took in the breathtaking scenery.
