Poppy awoke to the sound of birds chirping outside her window, their songs usually accompanied by the sight of a vibrant rainbow arching across the sky. But today, the sky was a blank canvas. She frowned, puzzled. "Where has the rainbow gone?" She wondered aloud as she dressed quickly, determined to find the answer.
Poppy made her way through the crowd, her mind set on her quest. "I must find out what's happened to the rainbow," she declared to Eldrin, the wise old owl perched on a nearby tree. Eldrin, with his feathers like frost-tipped twigs, blinked slowly, considering her words. "The Misty Woods hold many secrets, dear Poppy. Perhaps you will find your answers there," he advised.
Poppy ventured deeper, her footsteps soft on the forest floor. Eldrin flew overhead, guiding her with occasional hoots. As she journeyed, she encountered a family of glowing fireflies, their light flickering like stars caught in a jar. "Have you seen the rainbow?" she asked them, but they only danced away, lighting her path.
The creature, a Moonbeam Hare, turned to Poppy, its voice gentle and melodic. "You're seeking the missing colors, aren't you?" Poppy nodded eagerly. "The rainbow's hues have been scattered, hidden by a mischievous wind spirit," it explained.
With Eldrin's guidance, Poppy found the fiery red, the brilliant orange, the sunny yellow, the lush green, the deep blue, the indigo, and finally, the violet gem. As she placed each one into the pool, a rainbow began to arch across the sky, its colors vibrant and alive once more.
Poppy stood with Eldrin by her side, her heart full of pride and wonder. "Thank you, Eldrin, and all my new friends," she said, her gaze lifting to the sky. "You have shown us that even when the colors fade, we can always bring them back," Eldrin replied wisely. Together, they watched as the rainbow shimmered brightly against the twilight, a testament to the magic of friendship and determination.
