Riya, a bright and curious Class 7 student, sits at her desk tapping her pencil, excited for the new project announcement. The whiteboard reads, “Group Project: Build a Model Town!” Her friends glance at her, wondering who will take the lead this time. The teacher, Ms. Sharma, claps her hands to get everyone’s attention.
Ms. Sharma, always smiling, announces, "Each group needs a leader. But remember, a good leader listens to everyone and makes fair decisions."
Amit, Riya’s classmate, jokes, "Maybe the leader should get free chocolate too!"
A ripple of laughter runs through the room. After a quick vote, Riya is chosen as the leader of her group.
Riya clears her throat and says, "Let’s hear everyone’s ideas for our model town before we decide what to build."
Sneha, always full of ideas, suggests a town with a huge playground. Rahul wants to include a swimming pool, while Amit recommends a pizza shop on every corner. The group laughs, and Riya writes down everyone’s suggestions.
Riya hands out slips for voting. "Let’s vote on which ideas we want in our town. Everyone gets to choose two favorites."
The group votes, and Sneha’s playground and Rahul’s swimming pool win the most votes. Amit grins and says, "Maybe we can add a small pizza shop too, for emergencies!"
Everyone agrees, and the whole group bursts into cheerful giggles.
Sneha carefully crafts the playground, Rahul builds a blue pool, and Amit draws pizzas on tiny signboards. Riya helps everyone and makes sure each person’s ideas are included. They encourage each other and share supplies, even when someone’s tower topples or glue gets everywhere.
Ms. Sharma nods approvingly, "You all worked so well together! This is what democracy looks like—everyone’s voice matters, and together you create something amazing."
Riya smiles, "It was fun voting and listening to everyone. Teamwork really makes our ideas stronger!"
The group agrees, knowing that fairness and working together had made their project a true success.
