Emily, a lively girl of seven, hopped off the train with excitement in her eyes, her backpack bouncing with each step. Her best friends, Jake, age eight, and Ryan, age nine, followed closely, equally captivated by the city's enchanting aura.
"This place looks like a fairy tale," Jake exclaimed, his gaze sweeping over the spires and cobblestone streets.
Ryan pointed excitedly at the clock, "Look! It's about to move!" As the clock struck the hour, the figures of the Apostles began their procession, much to the delight of Emily and her friends.
"I've never seen anything like it," Emily marveled, holding onto Jake's arm as they watched in awe.
Jake bravely tried a bite of the goulash, "This is actually really good," he admitted, surprising himself. Emily and Ryan giggled, eager to try the trdelník, a sweet pastry coated in sugar and cinnamon.
"It's like eating a cloud," Ryan said, savoring the treat.
Mr. Novak welcomed them warmly, "Would you like to learn how to make your own puppet?" he asked, his voice as soft as the sawdust on the floor. The children nodded eagerly, gathering around a workbench cluttered with tools and wooden parts.
Emily was fascinated by the intricate details, while Jake and Ryan quickly became engrossed in the process.
"I can't believe we're making our own puppets," Ryan said, his hands steady as he painted delicate features onto his creation. Emily and Jake exchanged proud smiles, their puppets taking shape beautifully.
Mr. Novak watched them with a satisfied nod, "You three have a natural talent," he praised, making their hearts swell with pride.
"Thank you for everything," Emily said, her voice filled with gratitude. The friends waved goodbye, their hearts full of joy and the promise of more adventures to come.
"I can't wait to see where we go next," Jake said as they walked back to their hotel, already dreaming of their next destination. Ryan grinned, "Wherever it is, it'll be amazing," he agreed, knowing that with friends like these, the world was theirs to explore.
