Ellana danced around the room in her polka-dot pajamas, hugging Daddy Bunny tightly. Her suitcase sat by the door, ready for a night at her grandparents’ house.
"I can’t wait to show Grandma and Grandpa my new drawing! And, of course, Daddy Bunny is coming too," she declared with a bright smile.
Ellana and her mom shuffled toward the door, arms full of bags and snacks. In the last-minute rush, Daddy Bunny was left behind on the upstairs bed, his floppy ears peeking out from under the pillow.
"Wait! Where’s Daddy Bunny? I need him!" cried Ellana, eyes wide with sudden worry.
Ellana’s mom hurried upstairs and spotted Daddy Bunny on the bed. Thinking quickly, she stepped onto the balcony, calling to Ellana’s grandpa below.
"Catch, Dad! Ellana can’t go without Daddy Bunny!"
She gently tossed the beloved bunny toward Grandpa’s waiting arms, but a sudden gust of wind swept Daddy Bunny sideways, snagging him high in the branches.

Ellana felt her heart thump with worry as she watched her best friend wobble above. Grandpa scratched his head, considering how to reach the precious toy.
"Don’t worry, sweetheart. We’ll get Daddy Bunny down," Grandpa said reassuringly, grabbing a long-handled broom from the garage.

After a few careful nudges and a breathless moment, Daddy Bunny tumbled safely down into Grandpa’s arms. Ellana cheered, her face lighting up with relief and joy.
"Thank you, Grandpa! Daddy Bunny, you’re safe!" she exclaimed, hugging her beloved bunny close.

Ellana whispered secrets to Daddy Bunny, promising never to leave him behind again. Together, they looked forward to a night of bedtime stories, warm blankets, and the comfort of family.
"We’ll always stick together, Daddy Bunny. No tree can keep us apart," Ellana murmured as they pulled into the welcoming glow of her grandparents’ home.
