Little Pip awoke with a stretch and a grin,
Eager to see what adventures begin.
Her room was a jumble of color and cheer,
With sunlight that danced and made shadows appear.
Downstairs in the kitchen, the morning began,
With pancakes and giggles, and strawberry jam.
Mama Pip poured syrup and winked with delight,
"Eat up, little Pip, for the day’s looking bright!"
Outside in the garden, with boots on her feet,
Pip gathered her friends for a mission so sweet.
The flowers were waving, the bees buzzed around,
And Pip’s little dog barked with a bounciest sound.
Into the forest, the children all crept,
Past mushrooms and puddles where tiny frogs leapt.
They searched for a treasure, a magical thing,
Perhaps a lost feather, or a fairy’s gold ring!
Beneath a tall oak with a knobby old knee,
A sparkle was shining for all eyes to see.
Pip knelt and she gasped at the sight she had found—
A silvery stone with a glow all around!
Back home with her prize, Pip snuggled up tight,
Her heart full of wonder, her eyes soft with light.
Mama Pip gave a hug as the stars twinkled bright,
"Dream sweetly, dear Pip, for you’ve had quite a night!"
