Longhorn Larry, a young steer with a gleam in his eyes, stood at the top of a small hill, gazing with admiration at the older, larger steers grazing below. "Someday, I'll be big and strong like them," he mused, his tail flicking with excitement.
Buzzy the Bluebird hopped closer, his feathers catching the sunlight. "Hey there, Larry! What’s got you looking so dreamy-eyed?" he chirped with curiosity.
"Oh, I'm just thinking about growing up," Larry replied wistfully. "Why rush?" Buzzy asked, tilting his head. "There's so much fun to be had right now!"
Larry, feeling a surge of confidence, trotted beside Buzzy. "What should we do today, Buzzy?" he inquired eagerly.
"Let’s see how many clouds we can spot shaped like steers," Buzzy suggested with a flap of his wings. "You’ll see, there’s magic in just being who you are, right now!"
Larry watched his reflection ripple in the water. "I do look kind of strong already," he said with a small smile. "And brave!" Buzzy added, perching on a nearby rock. "You’re perfect just as you are, Larry."
"You know, Buzzy, I think you’re right," Larry admitted, feeling contentment settle in his heart. "I don’t need to rush to grow up. I can enjoy being me—right here, right now."
Longhorn Larry lay back, gazing at the vast sky. "Thank you, Buzzy," he murmured. "For showing me the beauty of today." Buzzy chirped happily, "Anytime, Larry. The world is full of wonders when you stop to enjoy them."
