Mia was a shy seven-year-old, her brown hair tied in a neat ponytail. She carefully flipped through the pages of a picture book, her eyes filled with curiosity and determination. Beside her, Biscuit, a fluffy golden retriever, lay with his head resting on his paws, watching her intently.
"I wish I could read this," Mia sighed, glancing at Biscuit. Biscuit wagged his tail, as if to encourage her.
Mia hesitated, her finger tracing the letters on the page. Biscuit nudged her hand with his wet nose, a look of encouragement in his eyes.
"You're right, Biscuit. Let's try again," she said, smiling at her furry companion. Biscuit barked softly, his tail thumping on the floor, urging her on.
Mia sounded out the words slowly, her confidence growing with each syllable. Biscuit watched her, his eyes bright with excitement.
"I did it, Biscuit! I read a whole sentence!" Mia exclaimed, her voice filled with joy. Biscuit barked loudly, jumping up to lick her face.
Mia hugged Biscuit, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Let's find out what happens next," she said, her fingers eagerly turning the page.
Biscuit settled comfortably beside her, ready to embark on another adventure through the pages.
Mia's confidence grew with each word she read, her laughter echoing in the room. Biscuit was her constant companion, his presence reassuring and supportive.
"Thank you, Biscuit. You're the best reading buddy ever," Mia said, scratching Biscuit's ears fondly. Biscuit wagged his tail happily, content to be by her side.
Mia yawned, closing the book she had been reading. Biscuit snuggled closer, his eyes drooping with sleep.
"Goodnight, Biscuit. Tomorrow we'll read even more," Mia whispered, curling up beside her loyal friend. Biscuit gave a contented sigh, knowing that their adventures were far from over.
