Micah was bouncing with excitement as Kairo carefully opened the door of their family car. Nestled inside a soft basket was Major, a fluffy golden retriever puppy with eyes full of wonder. "I can't believe he's finally here!" Micah exclaimed, her voice filled with joy.
Major bounded into the room, his tiny paws making soft thuds on the carpet. Kairo laughed as he curiously sniffed every corner, his tail wagging furiously. "Look at him go! I think he likes it here," she remarked, watching their new companion explore his new home with unbridled curiosity.
Micah and Kairo followed Major into the yard, where he discovered the joys of chasing butterflies. "Let's play fetch!" Micah suggested, grabbing a small ball and tossing it across the grass. Major darted after it, his ears flopping with each enthusiastic bound.
Kairo sat on the porch steps, Major curled up beside her, his head resting on her lap. "I think he's going to be a great addition to our family," she mused, gently stroking his soft fur. Micah joined them, a contented smile on her face as she wrapped her arm around Kairo.
Major settled into his new, cozy bed at the foot of Micah and Kairo's bunk beds. Micah yawned, pulling her blanket up to her chin. "Goodnight, Major. We're going to have so many adventures together," she whispered, her eyes closing as the room fell into a peaceful hush.
Major was already awake, his tail wagging at the foot of the bed, ready for the adventures that awaited. Kairo stretched and laughed, "Alright, Major, let's see what today has in store for us," she said, as Micah sat up, her eyes sparkling with the promise of another day filled with fun and discovery with their new friend.
