Dad leans back against the couch, one arm resting behind his daughter's shoulders. His three-year-old daughter clutches her favorite stuffed bunny, her eyes bright with curiosity and energy. "Daddy, why do I feel different things every day?" Dad replies, smiling. "Feelings are like colors, and we all feel a lot of them. Want to discover them together, from A to Z?"
"A is for... Amazing! Like when I build a tall tower and it doesn't fall," she giggles.
"D can be for Disappointed, like when it's raining and we can't go to the park," Dad suggests.
"G is Grateful, like when your Mamma cooks delicious meal for you"
"J is for Jealous, like when my friend gets a new toy,"
"We learnt so many feelings, Daddy. " Zoe smiled and asked , "Do you feel them too? "
“R for feeling Ready to do something” Dad said , “You should always listen to your heart!”
Zoe says “ Daddy, S is for Surprise! When you and Mommy got me a surprise gift for my birthday. I remember it Daddy”
“T is when you feel Tired. After all the play and fun the entire day. We all get Tired sweetie” Daddy said.
“U is when something is Unclear. You want to understand it correctly, so we ask more questions so that it is clear . Makes sense?” Daddy asked Zoe.
“V is for feeling Victorious. When you finish your puzzle, you feel Victorious. Great job learning all the feelings Zoe.”
“W is for feeling Wholesome. When you feel loved and appreciated.” Daddy explained Zoe.
“Thank you Daddy. When I am not sure how I am feeling , I will pause and breathe. Then think about all the feelings we just learnt from A to X-Y-Z!
