Batgirl stood by the counter, her cape tucked neatly behind her as she surveyed the scene. Alex, a small boy with bright, curious eyes, eagerly watched her every move. "Alright, Alex, are you ready to make the best apple pie Gotham has ever tasted?"
"I love apples," Alex exclaimed, his small hands reaching for the fruit. Batgirl chuckled, guiding him. "Remember to slice them thin, just like this," she instructed, demonstrating with precision.
Alex peered through the oven window, his nose almost touching the glass. "It smells amazing," he said with wonder. Batgirl nodded, satisfied with their efforts. "It won't be long now," she assured him.
"I can't wait to give this to Mom," Alex said, clutching the pie slice carefully. His face glowed with anticipation and pride. "She's going to love it, Alex," Batgirl encouraged, opening the car door.
Alex sat in the passenger seat, carefully holding the pie slice. "Thank you for helping me," he said sincerely. "Anytime, Alex. It's not every day I get to bake with such a great partner," Batgirl replied warmly.
"Mom! We made you something special," Alex announced proudly, presenting the slice with both hands. His mother smiled, her eyes moist with happiness. "It's wonderful, thank you both," she said, pulling them into a hug.
