Adrian danced around the room, his small feet pattering softly against the floor. His big brown eyes sparkled with excitement as he gathered his favorite toys, arranging them in a neat circle around a cozy, soft blanket. "When is Keani coming, Mommy?" he asked, glancing up with a hopeful smile.
"Very soon, sweetheart," Mom replied, her voice soothing and warm. She smiled down at Adrian, reaching out to tousle his curly hair. Adrian, not one to be deterred, pressed his ear against her belly, whispering secrets and questions to his unborn sister.
Adrian closed his eyes, imagining Keani playing with him, sharing moments of laughter and adventure. "Keani, will you like my teddy bear? He's the best!" he murmured, his voice filled with the innocence and joy of childhood dreams.
"I think she heard you, Adrian," Mom said, her eyes meeting his with a knowing look. Adrian giggled, his heart swelling with the promise of companionship.
Adrian and Mom sat together, snuggled on the couch, as they flipped through a picture book about siblings. "I can't wait to show her everything," Adrian said, his voice brimming with excitement and love.
Dad entered, his face alight with joy. "It's time," he announced softly, his words carrying the promise of new beginnings. Adrian jumped up, his heart pounding with anticipation, ready to welcome Keani into their world.
