Before time began, there was only the vast emptiness, where neither form nor light existed. The world was a blank canvas, shrouded in mystery and darkness. It was then that God, with a heart full of love and a vision of beauty, decided to transform the void. With a single, powerful command, light burst forth, chasing away the shadows and revealing the potential of creation. The light was warm and brilliant, marking the birth of Day, while the darkness that remained was named Night. Thus, the very first day unfolded.
On the second day, the voice of God resonated again, calling for a firmament to divide the waters. The sky stretched overhead, a magnificent archway of blue, dotted with soft, drifting clouds. Below, the waters gathered, reflecting the sky’s hue and promising a world yet to come. This expanse was called Heaven, a testament to God’s grand design and the promise of the days that followed.
The third day saw the waters retreating, revealing the contours of the earth beneath. Majestic mountains rose, valleys carved their paths, and plains spread wide. God named this dry land Earth, while the gathering waters became the Seas. Yet, the land was still and empty, waiting for life to flourish. With another command, vegetation sprang forth—grasses carpeted the soil, flowers burst into color, and trees stood tall, bearing fruits of every kind. The earth was alive, vibrant and teeming with the goodness God had envisioned.
On the fourth day, God adorned the heavens with celestial bodies to mark the passage of time. The sun, a radiant beacon, shone brightly, filling the world with warmth and light. As day turned to night, the moon took its place, casting a gentle glow, accompanied by countless stars, each twinkling like a jewel in the vast expanse. These heavenly lights guided the rhythms of the earth, a testament to God’s intricate planning.
The fifth day was a celebration of life as God commanded the waters and skies to teem with creatures. The seas burst into life, with dolphins leaping joyfully and schools of fish weaving through the currents. Above, the sky was alive with the colors of birds—majestic eagles soared, while vibrant parrots and tiny hummingbirds flitted about. Each creature was a marvel, a reflection of God’s boundless creativity and the harmony of His creation.
On the sixth day, the earth welcomed a multitude of animals, each kind thriving in its own habitat. Lions roared across the savannah, elephants moved in gentle herds, and rabbits bounded through meadows. Yet, God’s masterpiece was yet to come. From the dust of the ground, He formed man, breathing life into him. This man, Adam, opened his eyes in the Garden of Eden, a paradise rich with life. Seeing Adam’s solitude, God created a companion from his rib—Eve. Together, they were entrusted with the care of this wondrous world, a testament to God’s love and His desire for companionship.
With the world complete, each element in its place, God viewed His creation and found it very good. The seventh day dawned not as a day of labor, but of rest and reflection. God blessed this day, setting it apart as a time of peace and sanctity. Adam and Eve lived in harmony within the garden, surrounded by the beauty and abundance of God’s work. This was the beginning of everything, a world born of divine love and the spoken word, where humanity was invited to dwell in joy and stewardship.
