Ahad slumps on the couch, remote in hand, flipping through endless channels. The room feels stagnant, filled with the hum of background noise and the giggles of nearby children. He sighs, eyes glazed over as cartoons and soap operas blur into one.
Ahad watches them, feeling a pang of envy at their boundless energy. He tosses the remote aside, rubbing his forehead. "I wish I had even half their enthusiasm," he mutters, his voice barely audible over the commotion.
Ahad sits up, intrigued by the idea. He glances at the kids, who are now quietly watching. "Hey, would you guys like to try something new? Maybe play a game together?" he suggests, his tone hopeful.
One child hands Ahad a box, grinning widely. "Let's play the one with the funny hats!" another child exclaims, pulling out a brightly colored cap.
Ahad rolls the dice, feigning suspense and pulling faces to delight the kids. "Whoever wins gets to choose tomorrow's movie night!" he announces, sparking a chorus of cheers.
Ahad leans back, surrounded by the children. "Maybe boredom isn't so bad—it just means it's time for something new," he says, his eyes shining with warmth. The kids nod, already dreaming up tomorrow’s adventure.
