Jacob Wyatt, a 10-year-old boy with short blue hair, bright blue eyes, and fair skin, carefully adjusts the collar of his favorite blue shirt as he gazes into the mirror. He hums a cheerful tune, his honest and kind nature evident in the gentle smile curving his lips. Today, curiosity bubbles within him—he’s been invited to tour the local science lab, a dream come true for a boy who adores adventure and discovery.
Jacob Wyatt follows a friendly guide through the maze-like lab, his eyes wide with wonder at the arrays of blinking lights and mysterious contraptions. He pauses before an odd, egg-shaped machine with two seats inside, its surface shimmering with blue and purple lights. The guide explains it’s a “brain switching prototype,” meant only for demonstration, but Jacob can’t help but feel a shiver of excitement as he peers into the machine.
Grumpyman, a notorious villain with a reputation for chaos, watches the scene with narrowed eyes. He waits until the staff are distracted, then silently approaches the brain switching machine. At that exact moment, Superteen, a 16-year-old superhero with short black hair, striking green eyes, and a purple costume, strides in, scanning for trouble. Grumpyman grins wickedly and shoves Superteen into the machine, slamming the door shut just as Jacob is still inside.
"What’s happening? Let me out!"
"Hey, kid! Hold on—something’s wrong!"
Sparks fly and alarms blare as the doors remain sealed. Suddenly, a wave of pulsing energy sweeps through the chamber, washing over Jacob and Superteen. In a split second, everything goes dark.
The doors creak open, and out stumble Superteen—but in Jacob’s small body—and Jacob, now in the tall, athletic frame of Superteen. Confused and disoriented, they stagger outside just as the machine sparks one last time and explodes in a shower of light and debris. Grumpyman is nowhere to be seen, having fled in fear that his plot might have given Superteen even greater powers.
Jacob, in Superteen’s body, looks at his hands in awe and panic, while Superteen, trapped in Jacob’s body, tries to steady his breath.
"Are… are you me? Or am I you?"
"Looks like we just switched places, kid. Don’t worry—we’ll figure this out together. But first, we need to find Grumpyman and fix this mess before anyone else gets hurt."
As the two new friends set off into the deepening twilight, a sense of purpose and excitement sparks between them. Their adventure is only beginning—but now, they’ll have to rely on each other’s courage and honesty to set things right.
