"I miss him so much, Amy," she whispered to her little sister.
Amy, her constant companion, held her hand tightly, offering silent support.
"Mama's getting worse," Stefeny said, her voice trembling with fear.
"What can we do, Stefeny?" Amy asked, eyes wide with worry.
The room felt colder, the weight of their troubles pressing down.
Stefeny flinched as a pebble struck her.
Amy squeezed her hand tighter, whispering, "We'll be okay, won't we?"
Mother, in a soft voice, said, "You must be brave and fight against your problems on your own. If you don't, you'll be scared for the rest of your life."
Stefeny and Amy nodded, absorbing her words like a lifeline.
"Leave us alone!" Stefeny shouted, her voice steady and strong.
Amy stood by her side, echoing her sister's courage, "We won't be scared anymore!"
Stefeny smiled at Amy, "We're doing it, Amy. We're really doing it."
Amy grinned, hope shining in her eyes, "For Mama."
"You've both grown so strong," Mother said, tears of joy in her eyes.
Stefeny and Amy hugged her tightly, knowing they had found their strength together.
