Ember, a small dragon with shimmering emerald scales, soared joyfully between the trees. His wings glinted in the sunlight as he reveled in the beauty of the day. "What a perfect morning for adventure!" he exclaimed to himself, feeling the thrill of flight.
Ember noticed that his best friend, Lily, was nowhere to be seen. Panic began to creep in as he realized she might have wandered too far. "Lily! Where are you?" he called, his voice echoing through the forest.
"Orion, have you seen Lily?" Ember asked hopefully.
"Ah, young Ember," Orion replied, "I have not seen her, but the forest has many eyes. We shall find her together."
Flick, a playful fox with a bushy tail, joined them, his nose twitching with curiosity. "I can help!" Flick offered eagerly. "Together, we will surely find her," Orion encouraged.
"Lily!" Ember cried, relief flooding his voice as he landed beside her.
"Ember, I was so scared," Lily admitted, her eyes brimming with tears.
"Don't worry, I'm here now. Let's get you home," he assured her gently.
"Thank you, Ember," Lily whispered, her arms wrapped tightly around him.
"That's what friends are for," Ember replied warmly, feeling the bond of their friendship grow stronger with every beat of his wings.
"True friendship indeed," Orion hooted softly from a nearby branch, watching them with a knowing smile.
