Tommy watched as Buster chased a butterfly across the lawn, his short legs moving with surprising speed. "Let's go on an adventure, Buster!" He declared, his voice full of excitement. "Woof!" Buster barked in agreement, his tail wagging furiously.
Tommy noticed the man and felt a chill despite the warm day. "Stay close, Buster," he whispered, feeling a sense of unease. The man, dressed in dark clothes, moved closer, his eyes fixed on Buster. "Hey, that's my dog!" Tommy shouted as the man reached out to grab Buster.
"Give him back!" Tommy yelled, his voice breaking with fear and anger. Buster barked frantically, struggling in the man's grasp. Tommy sprinted, his small legs moving as fast as they could. He could hear Buster's whines and knew he had to act quickly.
"Let him go!" Tommy demanded, standing firm despite his fear. The man hesitated, startled by the boy's courage. "He's my best friend," Tommy continued, tears welling up in his eyes. For a moment, the man seemed unsure, and in that hesitation, Tommy lunged forward, grabbing Buster and pulling him free.
Tommy hugged Buster tightly, feeling the warmth of his fur against his cheek. "Woof!" Buster barked happily, licking Tommy's face. "Let's go home," Tommy said softly, his heart still racing but filled with joy.
Tommy held onto Buster's leash tightly, feeling grateful for his friend's safety. "We'll always stick together, right, Buster?" He asked. "Woof!" Buster replied, his eyes shining with loyalty. Together, they made their way home, ready for new adventures.
