Rok-Tahk, a Brikarian known for her towering stature and gentle demeanor, moved gracefully between the aisles, her arms laden with books. The library, filled with the muted whispers of students and the soft rustling of pages, was her sanctuary.
Emily, a first-year cadet with an adventurous spirit, struggled to reach a tome on time travel. "I just need it for Professor Harlow's class," she murmured to herself, determination in her eyes.
"Here you go," Rok-Tahk said, her voice a deep, soothing rumble. Emily clutched the book and beamed down at her helper. "Thank you! You're a lifesaver," she exclaimed, her gratitude shining brightly.
Jax, a fellow Brikarian and former crew member, clapped Rok-Tahk on the back. "Still helping out wherever you go, I see," he chuckled. Lena, a Terran with a sharp wit, nodded approvingly. "You always had a knack for making friends," she added.
Emily joined them, her eyes wide with admiration. "I've never met a Brikarian before. You're all so kind," she said, looking between Rok-Tahk and Jax.
"It's the little things that matter," Rok-Tahk mused, her thoughts drifting to the countless adventures and friendships formed over shared stories and simple acts of kindness.
