Bumble the Bee zipped through the blossoms, pausing just long enough to boast to a nearby butterfly about his solo speed and skill.
"No one can gather nectar as quickly as I can! Who needs a hive when you have wings like mine?"
The butterfly fluttered away, unconvinced, while other bees exchanged glances but said nothing.
Bumble[/@ch_1] hovers nearby, still apart from the group. Suddenly, a sharp, unfamiliar scent wafts through the air—smoke.]
A young worker bee rushes out of the hive, her wings trembling with fear.
Willow the Worker Bee: A cautious and loyal hive member, smaller than Bumble.
"There's smoke in the meadow! We must warn everyone and seal the hive!"
Bumble hesitates, watching the others scramble to block the hive’s entrance with wax and mud.
"Why should I help? I’ve always worked alone," he mutters, though doubt flickers in his eyes as the smoke thickens.
Bumble[/@ch_1] watches as the smallest bees do mighty things together.]
"If you don’t help, we might lose our home. Every bee matters, even you," Willow pleads, her eyes shining with urgency.
Bumble feels a pang of guilt and determination.
Bumble[/@ch_1] joins in, lifting heavy drops of water, helping to patch the hive, and buzzing directions to younger bees. The hive’s hum grows loud and strong, echoing their unity.]
"Together, we’re unstoppable!" Bumble shouts, heart swelling with pride.
The flames finally die down, halted at the edge of the meadow, leaving the hive safe and whole.
Bumble[/@ch_1] stands with Willow, watching the hive bustle with new energy.]
"I was wrong to think I could do everything alone," Bumble admits, gratitude in his voice. "Community is our greatest strength," agrees Willow, and together they join the hive, ready for whatever comes next.
