Jenora was a little girl with an insatiable curiosity. Her eyes sparkled with excitement every time she stumbled upon a new clicker button to press. Today, she wandered through her grandmother's home, looking for TV controls, computers, tablets, cellphones, and anything with buttons to push and click."I wonder what this one belongs to," she mused aloud, her fingers tracing the outlines of a black and red button on one of the controls in her hand.
Jenora felt drawn to these handheld clickers, some that had sound, and others that allowed a push on a button but were silent, without a click. Her heart raced with anticipation as she pondered which button to press first. "Let's see what this one might do!" she exclaimed, pressing a bright red button. Mimi's TV behind Jenora whirred to life, with music and colorful lights from one of her favorite shows!
Jenora found herself drawn to the TV for a short time. She was curious to see what these other clicker buttons might do. There was a long thin clicker in black, a short one in silver, and another quite small with multiple colors. So many buttons to push! She tried them all, one at a time, and followed any action a button might create.
As the the time came for her to return home, Jenora asked her grandmother if she could returnto play with the clickers. Mimi said, "Why don't you come by tomorrow and we'll have a tea and clicker party together?" "I'd love that," Jenora exclaimed, her eyes wide with joy.
Jenoraand her Mimi sat side by side, waiting for Jenora's parents to pick her up."I never knew clickers could be so much fun and do so many things," the bright little girl said, her voice filled with awe. "And I never knew clickers could be of such interest to a little one," said Mimiwith a warm smile. Their love had clicked from the day Jenora was born.
As daylight began to fade, Jenora knew it was time to return home. She waved her farewell, promising to visit her grandmother very soon. With a final, fond look at her Mimi, Jenora pressed a button once more on a clicker she was allowed to take home. "What a great day," she sighed happily. She knew the clickers held countless more adventures, each button a doorway to a new world, waiting for the next time curiosity called her name.
