Eli, a small orphan clad in patched clothes and wide-eyed wonder, tiptoes through the moonlit alley. The magic cake factory looms before him, its golden doors ajar, inviting the bold and the curious. Conveyor belts gleam inside, snaking through a maze of whirring machines, all aglow with pastel lights and sugary dust.
Eli clambers onto the conveyor belt, heart pounding with anticipation. Suddenly, brushes and hoses spring to life, swirling around him in a whirlwind of gentle scrubbing and laughter-like chimes. The next moment, a massive glass bowl descends, and Eli tumbles in, his eyes wide as a mountain of flour spills from above, blanketing him in white.
Milk splashes over Eli, soaking the flour and turning him into a doughy, giggling mess. Enormous eggs crack open, their yolks sliding in, while the factory’s mixing spoons twirl and swoop. As everything blends together, Eli feels himself growing softer, lighter, and then—suddenly—a cake, with only his wiggling feet sticking out.
Now known as Cake, Cake blinks in surprise as he finds himself among other footed cakes, all ready to race. The starter bell rings out, and Cake dashes forward, his feet squishing through the icing-slicked track, shrinking with every step. The finish line looms—a cake-shaped hole in the wall—and panic quickens his pace as his feet threaten to disappear entirely.
With a desperate burst of energy, Cake leaps into the glowing hole just as his feet dwindle to nubs. He tumbles down a winding slide, landing with a squelch in a muddy, underground world. Here, the air is thick and damp, and an enormous, shimmering, jelly-like creature waits—a gentle giant named Globula.
Globula scoops up Cake, her voice like a lullaby. "You’ve made it, little one. Time for your real transformation." She gently swallows Cake, and inside her warm, squishy belly, Cake melts and reforms, emerging as Globulus, a playful, slime-like creature with tiny, wiggling feet.
Globulus dances in the mud, his feet making funny patterns as he laughs and spins. Globula leans down, her eyes soft. "Rest now, little one. You’re safe here," she whispers, gathering him lovingly into her arms. Cradled and content, Globulus closes his eyes, drifting into a peaceful sleep, while Globula hums a soothing tune in the gentle, cake-scented darkness.
