Ethan, a 14-year-old boy with a mischievous grin, ambled through the aisles of the candy factory. His cousins, younger by a couple of years, had convinced him to join their "secret mission." Everywhere, the sound of humming machines filled the air, and the sight of candy being packaged was mesmerizing.
The cousins, two energetic boys named Tommy and Jake, had a plan to fatten up Ethan. "Just try this one, Ethan! It's the best," Tommy urged, holding out a chocolate-covered caramel. Ethan, unable to resist, took a bite, the rich flavors exploding in his mouth.
"If you don't try them all, how will you know which one's your favorite?" Jake chimed in, as he tossed a jellybean into his mouth. Ethan, now fully invested in their candy adventure, chuckled and reached for another treat. The three of them sprawled on the couch, surrounded by a mountain of wrappers.
Ethan suddenly paused, looking at the pile of empty wrappers. "I think I've had enough, guys," "I can barely move!" Tommy and Jake laughed, their plan to fatten him up having succeeded, at least for the day.
As they made their way out, Ethan realized that sometimes the best part of an adventure is the company you keep. "Next time, maybe we should bring a salad," he joked, prompting a burst of laughter from his cousins as they headed home, already planning their next escapade.
