Cindy, a four-year-old with curly blonde hair, sat cross-legged on the plush carpet, her eyes sparkling with excitement. Beside her, Cooper, her two-year-old brother, clutched a stuffed reindeer, his chubby cheeks flushed with anticipation. Their loyal Pitbull, Bella, lay sprawled at their feet, her tail thumping lazily against the floor.
"Do you think Santa will come soon?" Cindy asked, glancing at the clock that seemed to tick slower than ever.
"Santa! Santa!" echoed Cooper with a giggle, clapping his tiny hands.
Bella lifted her head, ears perked, as if understanding the conversation.
The Pitbull trotted over to the Christmas tree, where a glimmer of something shiny caught her eye. Bella nosed around the base of the tree, uncovering a small, wrapped gift hidden among the branches.
"Look, Bella found a present!" Cindy exclaimed, rushing over with Cooper toddling after her.
Inside, they found a shimmering snow globe with a miniature Santa and his sleigh, swirling amidst a flurry of glitter.
"Pretty!" Cooper squealed, his eyes wide with wonder.
"Maybe it's magic," Cindy whispered, shaking the globe to watch the snow dance around.
Cindy closed her eyes, her heart full of hope. Bella nestled closer, sensing the magic in the air.
"I wish for everyone to be happy and for Santa to have a safe journey," Cindy murmured, opening her eyes to see Bella wagging her tail as if in agreement.
As the children settled back into the warmth of the living room, a feeling of peace enveloped them. Bella nuzzled against Cooper, who was now fast asleep, dreaming of Santa's sleigh.
"Merry Christmas, Bella," Cindy whispered, hugging the snow globe close, her heart full of joy and wonder.
