A clever crow flew over the village, its sharp eyes scanning for an opportunity. It spotted an empty house, its curiosity piqued. "Today might just be my lucky day," it cawed softly to itself.
The crow landed gracefully near an anthill, observing the ants as they moved tirelessly. The crow's mind raced with ideas. "With a little trick, I can have a feast," it mused, picking up a large leaf with its beak.
The crow carefully placed the leaf in front of the anthill, watching with satisfaction as the ants began to swarm over it. Just as it was about to lift the leaf, an unexpected presence startled it.
An old woman, with a kind face and eyes full of wisdom, appeared at the garden's edge. "Ah, what brings you here, dear crow?" she asked, her voice gentle but curious.
The crow hesitated, its plan now in jeopardy. It realized it had to think fast. "I was just admiring your lovely garden," the crow replied, trying to sound innocent.
The old woman chuckled, seeing through the crow's ploy. "Why not share the bounty instead of tricking others?" she suggested warmly. The crow, realizing the wisdom in her words, nodded slowly. "Perhaps you're right," it admitted, grateful for the unexpected lesson.
