Sang Kancil trotted through the jungle, his eyes scanning the vibrant landscape for something to eat. The morning sun warmed his back as he moved gracefully among the ferns and towering trees, determined to satisfy his growing hunger.
Sang Kancil halted as he spotted a guava tree, its branches laden with tempting fruit. His mouth watered at the sight, but he quickly realized there was a problem. High up in the tree was Monkey, watching him with a smug expression.
"Oh, Monkey, please give me a guava!" called Sang Kancil, hoping for some kindness. But Monkey merely chuckled and shook his head. "If you want to eat, you have to climb up here yourself," he replied arrogantly, his laughter echoing through the jungle.
Sang Kancil, not one to be easily discouraged, hatched a plan. He picked up a small stick and, with careful aim, tossed it at Monkey. The reaction was immediate. Monkey jumped in surprise, glaring down at the cheeky deer.
Monkey was furious. In his anger, he grabbed a handful of guavas and began pelting them at Sang Kancil. But Sang Kancil was nimble, dodging each fruit with ease, a playful laugh escaping him. "Ha! Ha! Ha! You've been tricked!" he teased, dancing around the fallen guavas.
Sang Kancil settled down to enjoy his meal, savoring each juicy bite. Meanwhile, Monkey sat in silence, reflecting on how he had been outsmarted. "That Kancil is really clever at tricking me," he muttered to himself, feeling a twinge of shame. The lesson was clear, and the jungle, as ever, was filled with tales of wit and wisdom.
