A nimble rabbit dressed in a vibrant blue hanbok, delicate embroidery glinting in the new light, sweeps the steps of her burrow with a willow broom. Her long ears twitch at every sound, and her eyes sparkle with mischief.
Nearby, a large, lumbering bear with a shaggy brown coat yawns loudly, blinking sleepily as he emerges from his den, scratching his belly and looking longingly at the ripe berries that cluster around the rabbit’s home.
"Oh, how I wish my chores would do themselves," sighs the bear, eyeing the untidy pile of sticks and the unwashed laundry hanging on a crooked line.
The rabbit pauses her sweeping, a sly grin spreading across her face as she watches the bear grumble and shuffle his feet.
"Dear Bear, I know a secret magic that can make chores vanish in a blink," says the rabbit, her voice smooth and inviting. The bear looks intrigued, his ears perked up.
"Really? Can you show me how?"
"Certainly, but you must help me first. Magic only works when shared," she replies, eyes twinkling.
"Wear this scarf and chant, 'Chores be gone, work be fun!' as you do each task," the rabbit instructs, barely suppressing a giggle. The bear, eager for magic, wraps the scarf around his neck and begins to sweep, then wash laundry, then gather berries, all while chanting the silly rhyme.
The rabbit lounges beneath her cherry tree, sipping tea and nibbling on sweet rice cakes, watching as the bear bustles about with surprising enthusiasm.
The bear finally pauses, sweating and out of breath, as he surveys the sparkling-clean clearing. He scratches his head, noticing that the rabbit has barely lifted a paw.
"Wait a minute… did I just do all your chores for you?" he asks, realization dawning on his face.
"Only those who believe in magic can make chores disappear!" the rabbit replies with a wink.
"Next time, I’ll make sure I’m the tricky one," the bear chuckles, shaking his head. The rabbit bows politely, her hanbok fluttering in the evening breeze.
"Perhaps we can work together and finish our chores twice as fast—and then enjoy tea and rice cakes as friends," she suggests.
"That sounds like real magic to me," the bear agrees, as the two companions watch the stars appear, laughter echoing through the peaceful forest.
