Chandni, the clever fox, lay hidden among the tall grasses, her keen eyes fixed on the coop. The promise of a plump chicken for her dinner filled her with anticipation. "Tonight, one of you will be my feast," she murmured softly to herself.
With practiced stealth, Chandni slipped into the coop. Her eyes gleamed as she spotted Raja, a grand and proud rooster. "You shall be my prize tonight," she declared, her voice a whisper in the dark.
"Before you eat me, dear fox, would you allow me to sing you a song? A song of the night, a melody to remember," Raja proposed, his voice steady and melodic. Intrigued, Chandni hesitated, her curiosity piqued.
"I fly, I fly, to the highest sky," sang Raja, and with a sudden burst of energy, he flapped his wings and escaped Chandni's grasp, soaring up to a nearby tree.
"You tricked me!" she exclaimed, a grudging smile playing on her lips. Raja chuckled from his perch, his feathers ruffled but unharmed. "And you, my dear fox, have taught me the power of wit," he replied.
Chandni turned away from the coop, her heart lighter and her mind wiser. She trotted back into the forest, a lesson learned and a promise made to herself. Never again would she underestimate the cleverness of others. As for Raja, he remained the pride of the coop, his story of cunning now part of the morning songs he sang.
