Agam sat quietly at a small round table, her eyes following the joyful chaos of her classmates. Her chestnut hair fell in soft curls around her face as she fiddled nervously with a crayon. Although the room was filled with laughter and chatter, Agam felt like an outsider, her shyness holding her back from joining in the fun.
Noy, Agam's little sister, tugged at her hand, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Let's play hide and seek!" Noy exclaimed, her voice filled with enthusiasm. Agam hesitated, glancing at the other children who were already scattered across the playground. "Okay, but stay close," she replied softly.
Agam looked around, her heart pounding as she realized Noy was nowhere in sight. Panic bubbled within her, but she knew she had to stay calm. Agam took a deep breath, her love for her sister overcoming her fear. "Has anyone seen Noy?" she called out, her voice stronger than she expected.
The children responded, eager to help. Together, they spread out across the playground, searching every nook and cranny. Agam led the way, her determination shining through. After what felt like an eternity, a voice shouted, "She's here!" Relief washed over Agam as she ran to Noy, who was hiding behind a large oak tree.
Agam hugged Noy tightly, her heart swelling with pride and love. Her classmates surrounded her, their eyes filled with admiration. "You did it, Agam," one of them said, the words wrapping around her like a warm embrace. Agam realized that her courage had not only helped her sister but had also brought her closer to her peers.
Agam felt a newfound confidence blossom within her. She knew that her big heart and love for Noy had unlocked a strength she never knew she had. As she looked around at her friends, she understood that she had found her place among them, not just as a shy girl, but as someone who could make a difference.
