In the very beginning, before anything existed, there was only stillness and darkness. But then, God decided to create something wonderful. With a loving whisper, God said, "Let there be light." And suddenly, the darkness was filled with a warm, bright light that danced across the vast sky, creating day and night.
On the second day, God made the sky. It was vast and blue, stretching out over everything. Below the sky, God gathered the waters to make oceans, lakes, and rivers. The sky and the water together looked so peaceful and beautiful, like a big, blue blanket covering the earth.
God wasn't finished yet. On the third day, God decided to create land. Dry land emerged from the water, forming hills, valleys, and mountains. God then filled the land with plants and trees of all shapes and sizes. Colorful flowers bloomed, and tasty fruits grew on the trees. Everything was alive and green, and it was good.
On the fourth day, God made the sun to light up the day and the moon to shine at night. God also scattered sparkling stars across the sky, like tiny diamonds glimmering in the darkness. The sun, moon, and stars worked together to keep time and bring light to every corner of the world. "They will guide and comfort all living things," God said.
On the fifth day, God filled the sky with birds and the water with fish. Birds of every color soared through the sky, singing joyful songs. In the water, fish swam and splashed around. Then, on the sixth day, God made animals to live on the land. There were big animals like elephants and small ones like rabbits. Everywhere you looked, there was life!
Finally, God decided to create people. God made a man, Adam, and a woman, Eve, to live in this beautiful world. They were special because they could think, feel, and talk to God. God blessed them and said, "Take care of the earth and all the creatures in it." Eve smiled as she looked around, knowing she was part of something truly wonderful.
On the seventh day, God looked at everything that had been made and saw that it was very good. So God rested, happy with all the wonderful things created. From that day on, the seventh day became a special day of rest and reflection. And that's how the world began, filled with light, life, and love for all.
