Colin floated silently, his eyes and nostrils barely above the water's surface. He watched his friends frolic and bask in the warm sun, their laughter echoing through the jungle. But Colin couldn't join them. He sighed, the weight of his forgotten smile heavy on his heart.
"Colin, what's troubling you?" Zara asked softly, her eyes filled with empathy.
"I've forgotten how to smile," Colin replied, lowering his gaze to the rippling water.
"Well, we can't let that be! Let's find a way to bring back your smile," Zara declared with determination.
Oliver, the owl, blinked his large, knowing eyes as Colin and Zara approached. "What brings you to my tree?" he hooted.
"Colin needs to remember how to smile," Zara explained.
"Ah, smiles are a reflection of the heart," Oliver mused. "Perhaps you need to rediscover the joys within yourself."
"Look at this place, Colin. Isn't it wonderful?" Zara said, twirling among the flowers.
Colin felt a warmth spreading through his chest. "It is. It's... beautiful," he admitted, a hint of a smile tugging at his lips.
Colin chuckled as Benny the monkey told a particularly funny tale. The joy of the moment filled him, and without realizing, a wide smile spread across his face.
"There it is! Your smile!" Zara exclaimed, clapping her hooves together.
"Thank you, my friends," Colin said, his voice full of gratitude. "I have found my smile again, thanks to all of you."
The jungle echoed with the sounds of celebration, as Colin and his friends rejoiced in the magic of friendship and the power of a simple smile.
