On a bright morning in a beautiful garden, Chotu, the mischievous squirrel, playfully darted among the branches of a towering oak tree. His eyes sparkled with curiosity as he searched for his next adventure.
Motu, the wise old owl, perched gracefully on a nearby branch, observing the garden with his keen eyes. "What are you up to today, Chotu?" he asked, noticing his friend’s restless energy.
"I smell something delicious, Motu! Let's find out where it's coming from," replied Chotu, twitching his nose eagerly.
The delightful aroma led them to Daduji's cozy little cottage, nestled at the edge of the garden. Inside, the kind old man was busy preparing his favorite treat—samosas. The scent filled the air, making both Chotu and Motu hungry with anticipation.
"Looks like Daduji is cooking up something special," whispered Chotu, his eyes widening with mischief.
"Let's just watch and not disturb him," cautioned Motu, ever the voice of reason.
While Daduji stepped out of the kitchen for a moment, Chotu's temptation got the better of him. Quick as a flash, he darted in and snatched a samosa from the plate, scampering back to his perch on the tree.
"Chotu, what did you do?" exclaimed Motu, flapping his wings in surprise.
"I couldn't resist!" Chotu giggled, taking a small bite from the crispy treat.
When Daduji returned, he noticed the missing samosa and scratched his head in confusion. "Where did my samosa go?" he wondered aloud, looking around.
Motu felt a pang of guilt and spoke up, "Daduji, I think Chotu might know something about it."
Chotu, realizing he had been caught, slowly descended from the tree, his tiny heart pounding.
Daduji approached Chotu with a gentle smile. "Did you take my samosa, little one?" he asked kindly.
Chotu nodded, his cheeks flushed with shame. "I'm sorry, Daduji. I was just so hungry and it smelled so good," he confessed, lowering his head.
Daduji chuckled warmly, "It's alright, Chotu. Just ask next time, and I'll be happy to share."
With a newfound understanding, Chotu promised, "I will, Daduji. Thank you for being so kind."
Motu, relieved to see the resolution, nodded approvingly. "A lesson learned well, Chotu," he said wisely.
From that day forward, Chotu always remembered to ask before taking, cherishing the bond of friendship and honesty that tied them all together in their enchanting garden home.
