Dede, his blonde hair catching the sunlight, stood on tiptoes, peering into the fishbowl. His blue eyes were wide with curiosity as he watched Goldie dart around. "Mom, why does Goldie breathe differently than me?"
Dr. Lisa, a thoughtful woman with a caring demeanor, kneels beside Dede. "That's a great question, sweetheart," she begins, brushing a strand of hair from his forehead. "You see, Goldie has gills, which are special tools that help him breathe underwater."
Dede climbed onto the chair, his legs swinging back and forth. "Gills? What are gills, Mommy?" he asked, his face a mix of confusion and excitement.
"Gills are like a special kind of nose for fish," Dr. Lisa explains patiently. "They help Goldie take oxygen from the water, just like we take oxygen from the air with our noses and lungs."
Dede closed his eyes, imagining himself with gills, swimming beside Goldie in the deep blue sea. "That sounds so magical, Mommy!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with awe.
Dr. Lisa chuckled softly, pulling Dede into a warm hug. "The world is full of amazing things, my little explorer," she said gently. "And I'll be here to help you discover them all."
Dede nodded, a newfound sense of wonder in his eyes as he looked back at Goldie. "I love learning about new things with you, Mommy," he said, his voice full of affection.
Dr. Lisa smiled, knowing that these small moments would shape Dede's view of the world. "And I love answering your questions, sweetheart," she replied, her heart full of joy.
