Oliver, a small orphan boy with tangled hair and patched clothes, sat hunched over his empty bowl, his hands pressed against his rumbling stomach. He glanced around at the other children, all quietly scraping their bowls, but his hunger seemed louder than anyone else's. The flickering bulbs overhead cast shadows on the peeling wallpaper as Oliver tried to ignore the churning in his belly.
Oliver crept into the kitchen after breakfast, his curiosity and appetite driving him forward. He found a crusty bowl left behind and, without hesitation, scooped up the strange stew, swallowing it in hurried gulps. The taste was odd, tangy and spicy, but hunger overpowered any doubts as he licked the bowl clean.
As Oliver made his way back to the common room, he suddenly felt a sharp pressure in his belly. Without warning, a loud toot escaped him, echoing down the hall. Oliver's cheeks reddened as he glanced about, hoping no one had heard, but the pressure only grew stronger.
Oliver stumbled up the stairs, but each step brought another burst of flatulence—first slow, then faster, until it was a rapid-fire symphony. "Oh no, what's happening to me?" he gasped, clutching his stomach as the tooting grew louder and more frantic. The other children peered over the banister, wide-eyed and giggling at the spectacle.
Desperate to escape the embarrassment, Oliver dashed into the attic, slamming the door behind him. But his body began to tingle and twist; his arms and legs shrank, his torso softened, and soon, with a final, thunderous toot, he transformed entirely into a pair of jiggling Butt cheeks. The new being, known now as Butt, wobbled in the center of the attic, still emitting a relentless stream of musical toots.
Butt looked around—if a pair of cheeks could look—and realized that he was still the same inside, even if his outside had changed. With every toot, he felt a little lighter, a little freer, and couldn’t help but giggle at the absurdity of his new form. As the toots echoed through the orphanage, the children below burst into laughter, and for the first time, Butt felt like he really belonged.
