Sammy, a small, freckle-faced orphan dressed in tattered clothes, clutches his rumbling stomach as he trudges beneath the thick canopy. The earthy scent of damp soil surrounds him, and shafts of golden light break through the leaves, illuminating patches of wildflowers. Each step he takes seems heavier, his hunger growing more insistent with every passing minute.
Sammy pauses, doubling over as his belly lets out a tremendous growl. Suddenly, an unexpected and comically loud fart erupts, echoing through the trees. The force lifts him off his feet with a startled yelp, his clothes fluttering to the ground below as he soars skyward, propelled by the sheer power of his discomfort.
The wind rushes past Sammy's bare skin as he flails, confusion and surprise battling for control of his expression. In the blink of an eye, his limbs begin to tingle and twist, reshaping themselves in impossible ways. Before he can even shout, his whole form contracts and reforms, leaving behind only two bare feet—Walker and Stomper—tumbling through the open air.
Walker and Stomper, now sentient and wiggling, plummet toward the forest floor. They land with a squelch in a cool, sticky patch of mud, instantly coated in brown ooze. The mud is thick and soft, sucking at their toes as they begin to sink ever so slowly, the world around them muffled and strange.
As Walker and Stomper try to wiggle free, an invisible force brushes against their soles, sending ripples of sensation through them. An ethereal giggle seems to echo from the mud itself, and the tickling grows more intense, making the two feet squirm and laugh with helpless mirth. "Who’s there? Stop! That tickles so much!"
Stomper and Walker surrender to the sensation, laughter bubbling up from within as the mysterious presence continues its playful assault. The mud is warm and oddly comforting, wrapping them in a gentle embrace even as they sink deeper. Above, the whispering leaves seem to join in a chorus of laughter, the forest alive with magic and mischief, and somewhere deep inside, Walker and Stomper feels a strange sense of belonging at last.
