Mia Monkey, dressed in a vibrant red crayon costume with a pointy hat, bounced excitedly near the stage. Around her, the rest of the animal friends gathered, each in their own colorful crayon outfits: Ben Bear in orange, Daisy Dog in yellow, Tony Tortoise in green, Freddy Fox in blue, Penny Panda in purple, Mr. Dino in brown, Mrs. Wendy in white, and Mr. Mandy in black. The air buzzed with anticipation for the big crayon song performance.
"Everyone ready? Let’s make this the best show ever!"
Freddy Fox, twirling his blue crayon hat, grinned at his friends. Ben Bear thumped his feet in time, while Daisy Dog wagged her tail, humming the melody.
"Let’s show everyone how fun colors can be!"
Tony Tortoise, a bit nervous in his green suit, peeked out from behind his giant cardboard crayon.
"I hope I remember all my lines,"
Mr. Dino tried to hold up the brown backdrop, but it toppled onto Mrs. Wendy’s white costume, splattering it with muddy water. Mr. Mandy’s black hat flew off into the bushes, while Penny Panda slipped on a wet patch, her purple crayon costume now streaked with green from the grass.
"Oh no! Our song—everything’s getting ruined!"
Daisy Dog looked down at her yellow costume, now a patchy mess. Ben Bear sighed, sitting beside her.
"I was so excited. Now it’s all ruined,"
Penny Panda reached over to comfort her friends.
"Maybe we can still do something special, even if it’s not perfect,"
Freddy Fox started singing the crayon song softly, his voice wavering but warm. One by one, the others joined in, harmonizing despite the ruined stage and costumes. The audience, hearing the music, drifted back, offering cheers and encouragement.
"It doesn’t matter what we look like. It’s the fun we have together that counts!"
Mrs. Wendy spun in her now polka-dotted white costume, and even Mr. Mandy laughed as he retrieved his hat from the bushes. Mia Monkey led the final chorus, beaming at her friends.
"Best. Crayon. Song. Ever!"
