Lucy, a curious girl with tangled hair and a flashlight in hand, peers up at the empty sky, her friends gathered around a pile of sleeping bags.
"Where did the moon go tonight? It was here just yesterday," she wonders aloud, her voice tinged with both worry and wonder.
The Moon, gentle and shimmering, blinks with wide, uncertain eyes. Its glow flickers as it attempts to smile.
"Excuse me, little ones... Have you seen the sky? I seem to have misplaced my way," the moon asks, voice trembling like a distant lullaby.
"Don’t worry, Moon! We’ll help you get home. I have a map of the stars—we just need to find where you belong," she reassures, her friends nodding in agreement, clutching pillows and blankets.
"Sometimes, when I look down, the world is so beautiful I forget where I’m meant to be," the moon admits softly, its light flickering with sadness.
"We all get lost sometimes. But with friends, it’s easier to find our way," Lucy replies, determination shining in her eyes.
A sudden breeze rustles the trees, carrying with it the faint sound of cosmic music. Lucy points to a crescent-shaped gap on the map, realizing it’s the moon’s place in the sky.
"There! That’s where you belong—just above the big oak tree," she says, hope rising in her voice.
"Thank you, Lucy. Thank you, friends. I won’t forget you," the moon calls, rising gently, step by step, until it settles back into its place in the sky.
The night returns to normal, bathed in soft moonlight. Lucy and her friends lie back on their blankets, watching the moon shine brighter than ever, knowing they helped the sky find its missing piece.
