Every morning, the Sun peeked over the hills, its rays tickling windows and nudging the sleepy town awake. Flowers unfurled their petals, opening wide for the day’s light, while birds tuned their voices in cheerful unison. Children leapt from their beds, laughter rising with the sunbeams. All except one — Mila, a curious little girl who snuggled under her blanket, dreaming of distant stars.

Mila lingered in bed, clutching her paper telescope and gazing longingly at the sky. "I wish something exciting would happen up there," she murmured, tracing invisible constellations with her finger. She didn’t mind missing the sun’s bright games; the night sky, with its quiet mysteries, was her favorite playground. High above, the gentle Moon watched and listened.
The Moon leaned in, its silvery glow barely visible in the blue expanse. Mila’s wish echoed upwards, reaching celestial ears. "Oh?" whispered the Moon, voice soft as a breeze. "Perhaps it’s time for a surprise." As the Sun noticed the Moon’s approach, the sky held its breath, and a gentle game began.
The Sun blinked in surprise as the Moon drifted closer, their edges nearly touching. "Hello there," said the Sun, golden and warm. "You’re out early," the Sun added, beams flickering in curiosity. "Just visiting," replied the Moon with a shy smile. Before the Sun could ask more, the Moon slid right in front — and day began to turn to night.
Mila dashed outside, joining her neighbors as they marveled at the strange twilight. Her teacher pointed up with excitement. "It’s a solar eclipse!" shouted her teacher. "They’re playing hide-and-seek!" gasped Mila. For a few magical minutes, time seemed to stand still. Even the clouds hovered quietly, watching the cosmic dance.
Light poured back over Luntian Valley, bright and warm as ever. The Sun beamed, laughter sparkling in every ray. "You got me!" said the Sun, delighted. "But only for a moment — the world needs my light." The Moon grinned. "Anytime," replied the Moon. "But not too often — surprises are special."

"Best sky show ever," whispered Mila, eyes shining with joy. That night, she dreamed of cosmic games and golden crowns. And every day after, when the Sun shone bright, Mila would grin and whisper, "I know you’re still the hide-and-seek champion."
