Ember nestled quietly on a mossy stone while the others practiced roaring and breathing fire in the distance. His scales shimmered with gentle hues of peach and teal, setting him apart from the bold reds and blues around him. The air buzzed with laughter as young dragons tried to outdo each other, but Ember just watched, uncertain.
Fira, a confident, flame-tipped dragon, approached with a teasing grin. "Why don't you roar like the rest, Ember? Aren't you a dragon too?"
"My roar is soft and my flames just glow. I wish I could do dragon things, but... I don’t know," whispered Ember, his tail curled tight. The other dragons chuckled and leapt away, leaving Ember feeling smaller than ever.
Ember gently scooped the rabbit into his warm, scaly wings, his glow comforting the frightened animal. "Don’t be scared, little one. I’ll help you find your way home," he promised, his voice a soothing melody. The rabbit nestled close, safe and sound.
Ember hummed a gentle tune, his scales casting a soft light that made the woods less frightening. He spoke kindly to every creature he met, asking for clues and sharing smiles. His gentle heart led him to a burrow where the rabbit’s family waited, worried and hopeful.
"Ember, you couldn’t do dragon things the way we do, but you’ve shown us something braver," said Fira, her voice ringing clear.
"Kindness is my superpower. Maybe that’s the best dragon thing of all," replied Ember, his heart full and proud. The clan cheered and Ember’s glow shone brighter than any flame.
"Tonight, I learned dragons can be strong in so many ways. Maybe tomorrow, my kindness will help someone new," thought Ember, dreaming of journeys where gentle hearts save the day.
