Lila, four years old, simple and curious, clutches a worn storybook about fairies close to her chest. Her cheeks glow with excitement as she gazes out the window at the garden beyond. Flowers nod in the breeze, and the world feels brimming with possibility.
Lila tiptoes through the grass, her small hands brushing against dewy leaves. She whispers softly, "I wish I could meet the fairies. Maybe they're hiding, watching me right now." The world seems to hush, as if listening to her hope.
Lila kneels, eyes wide, as she spots a tiny door carved into the trunk. She leans closer, heart thumping, and softly calls, "Hello? Is anyone there?" The door creaks open a crack, and a silvery laugh ripples through the air.
A group of fairies, translucent wings shimmering in rainbow hues, emerge from behind flowers and leaves. One fairy, no bigger than a daisy, flits forward, her voice tinkling like tiny bells, "Welcome, Lila! We have been waiting for you to believe." Lila’s eyes fill with joy and disbelief.
Lila twirls, hand in hand with her new friends, her curls bouncing. She asks, "Will I remember you when I wake up?" The tiniest fairy smiles mysteriously, "A piece of magic always stays with those who truly dream."
Lila sits up, blinking sleepily, but her heart feels full and light. She looks at the petal and grins, knowing her dream was more than just a story. Outside, the garden glows gently in the dusk, promising more adventures for those who believe.
