Jesus kneels among the ancient olive trees, his robe dusted with earth and his face filled with gentle determination. He looks up at the brightening sky, whispering a prayer for courage and love.
Peter, his friend, stands nearby, worry creasing his brow as he watches.
"Father, if You are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but Yours be done."
"Jesus, is everything going to be alright?"
Roman Soldier steps forward, eyes serious as he approaches Jesus. Peter tries to defend his friend, but Jesus gently stops him.
"Put away your sword, Peter. Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?"
"Are you Jesus of Nazareth?"
"I am."
Jesus[/@ch_1] stands quietly before the leaders, surrounded by guards.]
Pontius Pilate, the governor, sits on a high seat, looking puzzled and troubled. The crowd murmurs, some angry, some sad.
"What should I do with Jesus, who is called the Messiah?"
The crowd shouts, and Jesus remains calm, his eyes full of kindness even for those who wish him harm.
Jesus carries his cross bravely up the hill, his steps slow but steady. Children peek from behind their mothers, sensing something important is happening. On the cross, he looks out at the crowd, love shining in his eyes.
"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."
Peter covers his face, tears streaming down, but Jesus' words bring comfort even in sadness.
Mary Magdalene kneels nearby, her hands clasped in prayer. She remembers Jesus' promise that love is stronger than anything, even death.
"I will come back," she whispers, holding onto hope as she waits through the night.
Mary Magdalene rushes to the tomb and finds it empty. Suddenly, Jesus stands before her, smiling with gentle love.
"Do not be afraid. Go and tell my friends: I am alive!"
"Jesus, you’re alive!"
She runs to share the good news, her heart full of joy. The whole world feels brighter, knowing that love and hope live on forever.
