A lone wolf, weary and footsore, trudged along the path leading to the village. His stomach growled with hunger, and he clutched a small pouch of coins tightly, knowing it was meant only for emergencies. As the village came into view, he remembered a farm nearby where he might find food. His pace quickened with renewed hope.
Peering over the fence, the wolf saw an unusual sight: a pig, a duck, and a cow, all reading books. His eyes widened in disbelief. "I'm so hungry that my eyes are playing tricks on me," he muttered. But hunger drove him forward, and he leaped over the fence with a mighty howl.
The wolf's dramatic entrance went unnoticed by the trio. The cow, unfazed, complained about the noise, while the duck advised ignoring it. Frustrated, the wolf growled, "Can't you see I'm a big and dangerous wolf?" The pig replied nonchalantly, suggesting he find somewhere else to be dangerous. The wolf stood there, bewildered and intrigued by these 'educated animals.'
Determined, the wolf decided to learn to read. He enrolled in the village school, where his presence was initially met with curiosity. Yet, his dedication won over the class, and soon he excelled, becoming the best reader among them. With newfound confidence, he returned to the farm, ready to impress.
The wolf realized he needed more practice. He spent countless hours in the library, devouring books and refining his skills. His determination was unwavering, and he soon mastered the art of storytelling. Armed with his new knowledge, he returned to the farm, book in hand.
This time, as the wolf read with passion and flair, the cow, the duck, and the pig listened intently, captivated by his tales. Each story was an adventure, and they applauded his skill. Impressed, they invited him to join their picnic, where they shared stories and laughter long into the afternoon. "We should all become storytellers," suggested the cow. With a shared dream of traveling the world, the newfound friends basked in the joy of their companionship, ready for whatever adventures lay ahead.
