Rose clutched her backpack, her eyes sparkling with excitement. Carla followed close behind, laughing as they navigated the winding path. "I can’t wait to see what we find today!"
"Me neither! I heard there’s a hidden stream somewhere around here," Carla replied eagerly.
Rose spread out a hand-drawn map on the floor. "Let’s start our search by the old oak tree," she suggested, tracing a line with her finger.
Carla nodded, grabbing her compass. "Alright, adventurer. Lead the way!" Together, they climbed down the rope ladder, their feet crunching the fallen leaves beneath them.
Rose paused, listening intently. "Do you hear that?"
Carla grinned, pointing towards a moss-covered rock. "The stream! It's over there!"
They rushed towards the sound, pushing aside branches and stepping carefully over roots until they reached the sparkling water. The stream glistened in the fading light, its gentle flow a soothing melody.
Rose sighed contentedly. "I’m glad we found this place. It’s like a hidden world," she mused.
Carla nodded, her eyes scanning the trees. "It's amazing how much there is to discover. And to think, we almost missed it," she said thoughtfully.
Rose glanced at Carla, a smile on her face. "Let's promise to always explore together," she said.
Carla grinned, linking her arm with Rose's. "Always," she agreed, as they climbed the ladder to their tree house, already dreaming of tomorrow's adventure.
