Aasir sat cross-legged on the carpet, his eyes sparkling with mischief as he watched his younger brother. Ameer sat beside him, a small frown on his face as he fiddled with a toy car.
"Let's build a fort, Ameer!" Aasir suggested enthusiastically, hoping to lift his brother's spirits. Ameer, intrigued, looked up with a hint of curiosity.
"A fort? What kind?" Ameer asked, his previous gloom slowly dissipating.
"An enchanted kingdom!" declared Aasir, spreading his arms wide to encompass the room. "We'll be brave knights, and we'll guard our kingdom from dragons!"
Ameer giggled, his imagination already running wild with the idea. "Okay! Let's do it!"
Aasir carefully placed a blanket over a chair, creating a sloping roof. Ameer eagerly helped, his small hands tugging at the edges to keep it in place.
"This will be our castle tower," Aasir explained, gesturing to a pile of cushions. Ameer nodded, his eyes wide with wonder.
"Watch out, Aasir! The dragon is coming!" Ameer exclaimed, pointing at a shadow on the wall that danced like a creature from their imagination.
"Fear not, brave knight!" Aasir replied, brandishing a makeshift sword made from a cardboard tube. "We shall protect our kingdom!"
Ameer leaned against Aasir, feeling safe and happy. "You're the best brother ever," he said softly, looking up at Aasir with admiration.
"And you're the best knight," Aasir replied with a grin, ruffling Ameer's hair affectionately.
As the light outside dimmed, Aasir and Ameer lay back among the cushions, their eyelids growing heavy. The dragons were vanquished, and the kingdom was safe once more.
"Good night, Ameer," whispered Aasir, pulling a blanket over them both.
Ameer snuggled closer, a contented smile on his face. "Good night, Aasir," he murmured, drifting off to sleep, dreaming of new adventures.
