Tom the farmworker walked briskly down the dirt path, a straw hat perched on his head. He was ready to start his day, tending to the various animals that called the farm home.
"Let's get to work, everyone!" he called out to the animals, who seemed to understand his enthusiasm.
Bessie the cow mooed softly as Tom approached with a bucket of fresh feed. Porky the pig snorted happily, splashing mud around.
"Good morning, Bessie," Tom greeted, patting her side. "You're making quite a mess, Porky!" he laughed, shaking his head.
Percy the peacock had wandered over from the neighboring garden, curious about the commotion. Tom watched in amusement as Percy made himself at home.
"Well, aren't you a sight for sore eyes, Percy," Tom remarked, marveling at the bird's beauty.
Clara the hen was busy pecking at grains when Tom arrived to collect eggs. Rooster Ralph strutted about, keeping a watchful eye.
"Keep up the good work, Clara," Tom encouraged, gently gathering the eggs. "And thank you for keeping everyone in line, Ralph."
Tom sat down with a sigh, enjoying a sandwich and a cool drink. The animals, now calm and content, rested in their pens.
"It's been a busy morning, but a good one," Tom reflected, feeling satisfied with the day's work so far.
Tom walked the grounds one last time, ensuring all the animals were safe and sound. The rhythmic chirping of crickets began to serenade the farm.
"Good night, everyone," Tom whispered, closing the barn doors gently. The farm, once bustling with activity, now settled into tranquil slumber.
