Bing tightened the straps of her backpack, her heart fluttering with a mix of excitement and nerves. "Today's the day," she whispered to herself, stepping through the school's welcoming doors for the first time.
Ms. Loida, their teacher, stood at the front with a warm smile. Her eyes sparkled with kindness as she welcomed each student. "Good morning, everyone! I'm Ms. Loida, and we're going to have an amazing year together!"
Leah, Liz, and Jayna sat nearby, each looking around with the same mix of wonder and curiosity. "Hi, I'm Leah," she said, leaning over with a friendly grin. "And I'm Liz. It's nice to meet you," added Liz, her eyes bright with excitement.
Jayna picked up a book with a bright red cover and flipped through its pages. "Look, it's about a fairy who lives in a magical forest," she exclaimed, her voice full of wonder.
Bing, eager to join in, grabbed her own book. "I love stories about adventures," she said, her eyes wide with excitement. "Let's read them together," suggested Liz, and the four new friends huddled closer, sharing their stories with animated voices.
Ms. Loida approached their table, smiling at the sight of their enthusiasm. "You're all doing wonderfully. Remember, learning is an adventure, and each book is a new journey," she encouraged, her voice gentle and reassuring.
Leah nodded, her face lit with a newfound determination. "I can't wait to read all of them," she declared, earning a chorus of agreement from her friends.
Bing felt a warm sense of belonging as she waved goodbye to her new friends. "See you all tomorrow!" she called, her heart full of joy and anticipation for the adventures yet to come.
"Tomorrow will be even better," Jayna replied, her voice full of promise as they parted ways, each excited for the new stories they would create together.
